How a Diaphragm Compressor Works

The compression cycle works in three stages. First, hydraulic oil is pumped behind the diaphragm, pushing it forward into the gas chamber. This compresses the gas trapped inside. At the end of the stroke, the pressure in the gas chamber forces the diaphragm back, drawing in fresh gas through the inlet valve. The compressed gas is then discharged through the outlet valve.
